Backlog May 2017. Unclear golden body under a dense off-white head. Unusually aroma, lemon or lime zest, yeast and some kind of spices. Taste is sweeter than expected from aroma, malt, citric fruit, yeast, spices and lemon zest. Fine body and rather long lasting aftertaste. Seems like quite ordinary flavors on the paper but this was actually a bit unusually and strange – in a god way. Interesting and tasty for the open minded beer drinker.

Bottle. Thanks Raul. Big yuzu smell, bit of plastic, yeasty, grain. Taste is good, citrus is there, quite smooth, grainy, wheat and booze. Light fizziness. Good stuff.

Noe uklar brun farge med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter av malt og noe sitrus. kjenner alkohol i smaken sammen med syrligheten. Bitter avslutning.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours hazy blonde with good white foam, fine. Aroma is very particular, of cereal, fermented rice, alcohol, grassy. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is low in sweetness, good bitterness, but most of all the spices come up strong. Finish is longer than most Saison, with more residual spiciness.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken (also bought at Vinmonopolet Kvadrat). ABV is 10.5%. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of spicy saison yeast and yuzu fruit. Dry flavour (drier than the yuzu fruit deserves), yeasty with spicy and alcoholic notes, some bergamot. Would be better with less alcohol and a tad more sweetness.

On tap @King Arthur (Rome). Dorata, torbida, opalescente, schiuma bianca media persistente. Al naso sentori di agrumi, limone, malto, spezie. In bocca è magnificamente equilibrata e godibile nonostante la gradazione alcolica elevata, il finale amaro è pulito e persistente. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione media. Non è il mio genere di saison, ma è davvero molto ben fatta!

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Bergstua. Gyldengul. Lavt luftig skum. Lett bæraroma. Smaken litt syrlig frukt. Blir alkoholisk tørr etter hvert. Uklar siste kvelling. Litt bunnfall.

KØLF 050517. Golden-yellow color with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, spices. Flavor is fruit, spices, citrus, malt, hop, yeast, citrus, herbs, yuzu. Very nice beer.
