Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Max. Cloudy yellow. Citric aroma, zesty, floral. Flavor has a bit of sweetness, lots of citrus, floral notes, and a light alcohol note. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

750 ml bottle. Lovely deep orange-golden color with lace. Nose of yuzu, honey, lemon, sage, rather yeasty, spicy. Sweet flavor of yuzu. A bit soapy and very spicy. Caramel. i don’t like the yeast character in this, and I think the yuzu is underdone (which almost never happens when yuzu is used).

Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Raul! Pours a hazy orange gold with a medium-sized white head that lingers throughout. Yuzu all over the nose with with some lemon zest, mandarin and lime along with some grain and saison-like yeast. Fairly light for the ABV, but still hides it pretty well. Dangerously drinkable with a spritzy carbonation. Nice fruit-forward and slightly dry finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tohki-shu (冬期酒) on 17 Oct 2015 at 21:06 - Score: 8

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruts, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, bread, and lemons, leading to a bitter finish.

I didn’t know this was a Nogne collaboration beer, cool. Bottle from Asahiya, I served this 10.5% Imperial Yuzu Saison in a tulip. It poured a deep gold with a big floffy beige head that slowly settled into a thin film protecting my beer. The nose is grassy, hay, mild saison funk and counter-balancing yuzu sweetness. Light bodied with a very dry finish. The taste is a bit of crackery light malts, some metallic Brett character, earthy saison funk and tartly sweet yuzu. Overall, I like it but I think the 10.5% ABV is overkill and I don’t care for the warmth and booze radiating from the pit of my stomach from such a summery style.
