White Oak is an equal blend of two beers. A wheat-wine aged in Bourbon barrels (we call it "White Oak Sap") and our Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale (Mischief) join each other in a delicate dance of flavor and character before we package the final product. White Oak showcases vivid caramel, coconut and vanilla flavors blanketed in a crisp yet robust wheat ale. A true exercise of balance.

On tap at Antenna America though they also had it in bottles. The Bruery White Oak 11.5% BA 650 yen for a snifter and this beer knocked me on my ass. Anyways, it poured a beautiful orange gold with a thin head of beige foam. Huge wine plum and rich fruity malt aroma. Fairly full bodied, the flavor is richly oaky vanilla goodness.with notes of fruits (plums/raisins), caramel, oak and chewy wheat. Good stuff.

Poured into a taster showing lightly filtered slightly dry straw yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a mix of citric tart and vanilla notes. Strong intensity and a good balance. The palate is moderately carbonated with a light body. Slight residual sweetness, light vanilla throughout, no alcohol spiciness until the finish despite the high ABV. The flavors on the finish show clean bourbon oak and smoke.

Bottle shared. Thanks Jon! Lots of oak and buttery chardonnay notes in the nose with some light caramel, vanilla and coconut. ABV is hidden masterfully. Lots of oak on the palate with lots of complex flavors coming out as it warms, but still remains dangerously drinkable. Well-balanced on the palate with a nice buttery, dry finish. Excellent.

Big oaky Chardonnay nose. Deep French oak nose. Medium carbonation prickly, oaky, wheat, smooth body, Apricot with a fair amount of bourbon. Big bourbon warming finish. Pretty boozy. On the border of cloying but never there. Good stuff

Bottle at Erzbierschof Zurich. A beautiful and complex beer! Intense and fruity, citric. Apricots, orange, bitter almonds. Very nice, but surely not everybody’s taste.

750 ml bottle purchased at least 15 months ago from the RS. Split 2 ways during my 2015 NFL fantasy Football draft. Orange amber in color beer without any head. Aroma is very oaky with notes of bourbon, vanilla, coconut and toffee. I dig the aroma!

The flavor is so smooth but it may also have mellowed from sitting. The alcohol is only found after I was done with the snifter. The flavor is a nice balance of oak, sweet malt notes of toffee, and bourbon/ vanilla and traces of coconut. Damn nice sipping this.

Pours white, pale and hazy, nice foam. Aroma is soft-sweet, you can feel a lot of wheat, weizenbock intensity without residual sourness. Taste reveals loads of vanilla, put in the middle of soft and pillowy bourbon character. Maybe a bit too sweet, but I guess that is coming from wheat - and overall quite nicely balanced.
