Bottle from Tlahav, thanks! Almost black. Dark chocolate, coffee and cream in the aroma. Malty sweetish, roasty creamy flavor with coffee and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, well balanced, well made stout.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Minimally sweet, roasty dark malty aroma with a bready touch, hints of pumpernickel, dark chocolate, cautious metallic bloody overtones. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of pumpernickel, a metallic touch of blood. Creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky palate.

Bottle, courtesy of tomer through ELS, many thanks! Pours black with a low head. Aroma is coffee, toffee, liquorice, nuts. Body is medium, with a present carbonation over some low roast notes and dark fruit, but generally a bit watery. Also dry, almost refreshing. Good!

Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma promises lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate. Rich roasted flavors, chocolate, faint port wine in aroma. Dry. Taste is light bitter chocolate, ash. Lighter than average for the style. Good stuff.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Berkeley. It pours black with a dark brown, fizzy head. The aroma is hard roasted and acidic with hints of dark fruit. The flavor has a little acid and lots of dirty roasted malt. Somewhat cola-like. Some burnt sugar and dark fruit in the finish. Way too much black malt for my tastes. The mouth feel borders on acrid. High, fizzy carbonation and a light to medium body. Meh.
