33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is overripe fruity, citric. Dry and toasted malty. Overripe fruity, wineous. Dense malty and fruity. Slight metallic. Lingering fruity far finish.

Tap@Taphouse Tuesday Bottle Share, Copenhagen - Black pour with tan head. Aroma and taste is medium sour fruity and malty, with notes vinegar, some dark dried fruit, tart fruity into the finish.

Bottle shared at the last tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Vintage 2013. Dark brown with no head. Sour aroma, a bit lactic, with some vinegar, fruits, mild roast and chocolate in the background. Sourish flavor with roast, fruitiness, a lactic touch and a vinegar note. Medium-bodied. Quite easy-drinking.

Black color, no head nor carbonation. Aroma has notes of licorice and black coffee beans. Flavor is sourish with coffee eans taste and wooden notes. Roasted final.

330ml bottle at home. Dark brow color with red notes and small beige head. There is something strange in the aroma that I can not define it, the "band-aid" that the previous rater used probably describes it quite good. Sour notes in the aroma too. Taste is the same, this strange aroma exists also in the taste, sour notes again after this band-aid taste. Light to medium body with flat carbonation. Probably something is wrong with this bottle.

Black colour, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, light bandaid, roasted malts. Flavour chocolate, bitter, faintest hint of sourness, malts. Finish chocolate. Not really sure why this is labeled sour porter, but an enjoyable beer nonetheless.

33cl share @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14. Thanks Lisa. Brune foncée, col fin beige. Arôme malt grillé très prononcé, léger bouquet fruité sur un rétro aigrelet très subtil rappelant le cidre. Palais domine sur le suret mais reste facile à approcher. Le tout est complété par un malt grillé, caramel et soupçon de crystal dark-Munich avec une forte impression de pomme, dû en partie à l’usage de levure de cidre. Cette bière n’est pas aussi aigre que semble l’indiquer l’étiquette.

Thanks to Lisa! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Italian Beer Week-end / Zwanze 2014 CML. 2013 vintage. Great black metal style label. Blackish brown, little head. Creamy mocha nose, sweet malts, sugar, light caramel, chocolate milk, sweet; Taste is creamy mocha, chocolate hazelnut milk, sweet mocha, creamy chocolate candy. Creamy chocolate hazelnut milk body. Very lovely porter but the label says Sour Porter! I am going to rate this well because I really liked but there was absolutely nothing even remotely sour about this one. What happened here? Were they trying to guard themselves against complaints of a potential infection or did their culture just not take or…?
