Fra kran på Schouskjelleren, Oslo 18 Okt 11. Mørk amber. Lavt kremaktig skum som fester seg til glasset. God fruktig aroma. For mye kullsyre. Metallisk smak. På det jevne.

Tap @ Olympen, Oslo. This one pours a quite heavy clouded deep orange - almost light brown - body with a nice and quite big really fluffy and lasting off-white head. The aroma is both grassy and fruity with notes of sweet caramel and a hint of mint (haha). It has average carbonation, full to medium-bodied and the mouthfeel is slick and kinda sticky. Not to bitter at all this one, it has a nice almost earthy touch over it, well hopped, strong and powerful malt base, light floral and there is also some notes of something that actually can remind a bit of chocolate and some grassy burned caramel in the finish (is that even a thing?). Nice stuff from Hornbeer, but I would like it more of it was served in a actual horn.

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Cloudy brown beer, short lived head. Rich sweetish hops but again with this brewery the palate is very dry.

Hazy orange with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruity and very hoppy - grapefruit, pine and peach. Flavor is rather sweet and extremely bitter. Finish is dry, very bitter and warming alcohol. Has enough sweetness to balance the massive bitterness. 020210

(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 22 Oct 2010) Reddish amber colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, grapefruit, black-currant, rubber, caramel and a touch of alcohol. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, citrus, grapefruit, black-currant and pine needles. Generous bitterness in a long, rather vinous finish with a touch of alcohol shining through. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very nice hop bomb.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy amber body with a light beige head. Nice citric aroma. Flavor is fruity bitter on a good malty and caramel base. The high alcohols is presence without being unpleasant. Long and bitter aftertaste, a really nice IPA.
