Tap@CBF2014 - amber pour with white head. Citrus and tropical fruity, prominent grapefruit, orange peel, caramel malty, light herbal and spicy nuance in here. Lovely.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Cov G, 23/05/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderately appointed light beige covering that retains. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, grapefruit, a little 1D but pleasant enough. Taste is caramel malt forward, bitter grapefruit, pine, mango. Full bodied, fine carbonation, slightly sticky close with sweet licks and semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent enough DIPA if not top draw.

På fat. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, persika, ananas, honung, tall. Söt, fruktig med en aning resin. Tydlig beska med smak av tall och toner av grapefrukt.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with medium citrusy hops nose. Taste is also a mix between some caramel malt with light citrus hoppy notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation with some solid bitter notes. Good but not really breaking any barriers. I should stick to local IPA which are as good but not as pricey.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a snifter. Hazy brown colour with an amber tint. Medium sized, lightly tanned head. Fruity aroma with caramel malts, floral hops, citrus, peach and pines. Rather a lot of hop oils in this one.Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry with grapefruit hops. Nice DIPA in the usually solid Hornbeer quality.

50 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori. Rated on 22.08.2009
Aroma has hops, exotic fruits, caramel, some strawberries and resiny notes. Flavour is slightly sweet with exotic fruits, resin, some pine needles, caramel and hints of strawberries. Good – and not too sweet like DIPAs usually are for me.
