Straw blond colour with lasting, thin head. Yeasty aroma. Taste is dry, yeasty and a bit peppery. Lots of hop dryness in the finish.

Draught at La Fine Mousse, 4/24/15
Light golden body is bright and with a soft haziness. Moderate carbonation produces a small white head that recedes to cover.
Pils malt and fruity esters round out the aroma, with no funk or farminess, but seemingly well-balanced between malt and hops. The funky, acidic nelson sauvin are done very well, complementing the saison qualities and keeping things very bright and dry. No alcohol or flaws.
Spritzy carbonation and well-attenuated malt kick things off, with bits of honey and biscuit quickly becoming light banana, apple and other fruity esters. The hops keep things dry and moderately bitter, adding acidity to the finish and that juicy, bright, lemony-dill-like flavor. The soft vanilla and fruit esters give it some saison identity, but this thing is really leaning on its very well-balanced malt profile and deliciously done hoppiness. Again, for the millionth time lately, it seems, this is rated more as a hoppy Belgian golden ale and not a true Franco-Belgian saison.

Bottle. Aroma fruity, exotic, maracuja, moderate spicy element. Lightly hazy pale yellow colour. Taste is grassy, earthy, kind of forest like leathery hay. Slow drinker. Earthy finish.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (12/02/2015) - gold yellow coloured pour with a white head. Aroma and taste is medium sweet floral and fruity, some barnyard light spicy yeasts, zesty citrus, some more grassy and floral nuances, light dry finish.

330 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister. Thanks Stefan!
Pale golden, moderate hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Aroma of citrus, quite a lot of spices, barnyard, cheese, blood orange.
Tastes a bit watery, but not so unpleasant, with citrus, some apricot, some grapefruit, barnyard, spices, grass, some sweet malts, some dough.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes yeasty, dry, a bit bitter, a bit spicy.
Nice. Taste is a bit too watery for me, but refreshing and sessionable. Some unique aromas and less dry than many Saisons. Overall not my preferred example of this style, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Low Gravity on 23 May 2018 at 14:00 - Score: 6
