Sweet, roasty and always invigorating, traditional Latin American cafe con leche coffee can be found nearly everywhere in our hometown of Tampa, Florida and serves as the inspiration for our Cafe Con Leche Sweet Stout. The beer is made with bold, strong coffee beans to emulate the most characterful Cuban espresso and lactose, a milk sugar that adds sweetness, body and flavors reminiscent of scalded milk. We've also added cacao nibs to further enhance the satisfying chocolate quality of the beer. Despite it's assertive flavors and full body, our sweet stout is deceptively low in alcohol, making it the perfect accompaniment to a late-morning plate of eggs, bacon and tostadas.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma abbondante color cappuccino. Al naso note di cappuccino, melassa, cioccolato, cremino. In bocca è morbida, dolce all'attacco, cioccolatosa, con finale appena amaro. Corpo pieno, superiore alle attese, vellutata al palato, carbonazione medio-leggera. Una gran birra.

Sampled from 0.65 l bottle from 'Beergium', bottled in November 2017. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of lots of coffee, milk chocolate and lactose. Moderately sweet, malty, rather roasty taste of massive coffee, milk chocolate, lactose and some hazelnut, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, but too one-dimensional.

Schokoladig malziger, fein herber Antrunk. Süßlich, wenig herb, Vanille, die Süße bleibt verhalten. Süffig würzig, Moderat bitter, eher kurzer Nachhall. Okay. 10/9/9/8/11/9

Bottle from SB. Black with beige head. Slightly viscous. Ground coffee, espresso, velvety dark chocolate lingering. Slight sweetness. Impressive, especially given the abv.

Bottle, 650 ml, from Beergium. Shared with rest of the crew. Dark brown with medium light brown head. Coffee, cappuccino, cocoa, lactic, sweet, bitter finish. Dry. Creamy. Medium bodied. Very nice especially considering relatively low abv.

Bottle, 22oz. An unclear, dark brown beer topped by a dense, dark beige head leaving lacing. A bit one dimensional, but very nice, aroma with lots of coffee is kept company by roasted malts and a not to dark chocolate scent. Toffee too. There's a nice bitterness in the mouth, which it needs du e to the lactose sweetness. Roasted malts, milk chocolate and a good dash of coffee in the flavor. It's full-bodied, feels lightly warming even though it shouldn't, and has a very smooth carbonation. Lasting coffee-driven finish. Except that it isn't the most complex of beers, it is sure delicious. 180303

Pours black. Medium small, tanned , rather creamy head. Smell is creamy, coffee, tad roasty. Taste is full, cocoa, coffee ( medium intense on both ) bit creamy. Roasty, sharp, very mild bitter touch of the roast. Quite balanced, and it does what it promisses.
