23.03.2019, tap @ Apollon:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly hazy very dark amber color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish grassy, leafs, weeds, dusty hops, pine needles, bark, soil, sour grass, dark malts, hints of toast and coffee. Taste is dry sour-ish grassy, weeds, harsh hops, sour grass, bark, alcohol, minerals, pine needles, soil, fruit stones, dark malts, leafs, medicine, hints of harsh sour coffee. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

Draught, half pint as Partizan North Bar Laynes Espresso IPA 6.2 % ABV, at North Bar. Decent beige head leaving nice lacework behind. Opaque cola dark body. Cold coffee on the nose, slightly roasted. Taste of coffee grounds to the forefront gradually joined by earthy, chocolate malts, a bit ash-like. Nice roasted bitter ending. Tasty brew (Leeds 01.07.2013).

Bottle from brewery drunk at home. Black beer with lasting beige head. Black IPA aroma but definitely with a lot of coffee. Smooth as hell in the mouth, with a lot more coffee. Some hops but they are there to compliment the coffee. Rich coffee, rich mouthfeel. Really very good if you like coffee which I do a lot.

keg at the Craft Beer Company 2nd birthday. Served with 2 coffee beans floating in it. Hazy chectnut brown with a long lasting creamy head. Fresh roast bean aroma. Woody. Prickly carb, smooth dry finish. weird flavour combo, but very enjoyable.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, big pale tan head. Palate is smooth and dry. Fine minerally carbonation. Some creamy malt goes well with the coffee. The coffee has a strong presence but it is mellow tasting., light espresso. The hops are lightly citric and bitter. Finishes dry. Of the handfull of Coffee IPAs I’ve come across this is the most coffee dominated.

Keg at Tap East during the Open Brewhouse Festival - Stratford, London. Pours cloudy golden-brown with a creamy tan head. Nose has deep coffee, some berries, ripe citrus. Medium sweet flavor with further rich coffee, light earth and roast, some dry cocoa, some grapefruit, pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nice piney hop finish, subtle cocoa, dirty coffee, rich fruit, grapefruit and orange. Really solid.

Keg at Euston tap. It pours cloudy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is fresh pine, earth, toast, juicy orange, sweet tangerine, coffee and earth. The taste is roasty, bucket loads of coffee, bold bitterness, earth, dirt, toast, bitter pine, resin and a touch pithy citrus perhaps with a dry, lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty damn bitter. Lots of roasty coffee. Certainly ain’t lacking in flavour.
