Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, brett funk, coffee, ripe red fruit. Flavour is moderate to medium sour. Wine-like. Nice experiment that paid off.

Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2014. 330 ml. bottle. Basically no head, hazy reddish brown. Nicely sour, wood, brett, touch vinous, ripe red fruit & some red fruit and toffee sweetness. Woody taste, rich sour vinous chocolate, wood, prune, plum, raisin, toffee, cranberry, cola, honey, finish faint vinegar, wood, touch lactic,… Medium body. Solid mild Oud Bruin, ,nicely made & totally different from the regular beer.

No head, cola-coloured beer. Lactic acid, dark red fruit, old wood. Very nice sourish nose. Soft milky, lactic acid, wood, vinous, again dark red fruit. Not very well-bodied, high attenuation probable, feels more carbonated than it looks. Far from bad! Like a mild Oud Bruin - but then Porter historically was brettanomyces-fermented anyway.

16/VIII/14 - 33cl bottle @ 5de Gents Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2014-923)
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, something weird, I guess it's brett then? Stange combo with the roasted aroma, something rotten, earthy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of coffee grit, cocoa powder, sourish, a distinct lambic taste, pretty bitter, mocha. Aftertaste: soft sourness, lots of mocha and coffee, funky, brett notes, lemony touch with coffee. Nope, this combination of roasted and wild yeast doesn't work for me. It's not despicable, but it's not great either.
