Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2014. 330 ml. bottle. Black, close to no head. Thick molasses, chocolate, roast, sweet, syrupy nose, substantial,… Taste is thick molasses, leather, thick syrup, toffee, goo, light peat, roast, roast rises in the back with light bitterness leading into a finish which is light sweet vanilla, bourbon, oak, ice cream,.. delicious. Touch lacking on carbonation. Slightly flawed but all is forgiven because this is totally delicious.

Small yellowish head over deep black beer with reddish highlights. Rich vinous, liqueurish nose, with vanilla, Bourbon, wood. Bitter, wood, banana, chocolate, or a herbal as Jaegermeister. Quite complex. Strangely, the vanilla is missing in the mouth. Very well-bodied, rich. Long bitter-dry aftertaste. Very good, if severe.
