Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple. At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains - all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned.

THX! for this one. 355 ml. bottle sampled @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Pours a completely clear honey golden with zero head, pretty odd appearance. Smells exactly like the kind of candy that is called “vruchtengom” here I believe, the pear variety of that candy, same distinct sugary sweetness, very clearly the pear variety, touch caramel, quite like it since I love that candy. Taste is less explosive than the smell, mellower sadly, very sugary, same candy, sweet pear, honey, white sugar, yeast, caramel, sweet apples,… Very simple, very candy like, pretty odd interpretation of the style, is this what they were going for initially I wonder? Lowe carb. slick, candy like mouthfeel. Easy to drink. I rather liked it, everyone hated it. I suppose another showcase that the blunt “craft” style doesn’t work on more fine-tuned traditional beers but than again, I am not much of a fan of tripel’s in general, this was pretty easy to drink & interesting.

Outstanding. A boozy aroma, though a fruity sweet finish.

Purchased at Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont, MA; enjoyed after eating a great lobster roll on vacation in Bar Harbor, ME. Appearance is a moderate cloudy gold with a thin bubbly white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of banana, clove, Belgian ale yeast, smells potent. Taste goes down with a light burn, definite alcohol flavor, high carbonation, spice notes. Not a huge fan of this one.

750 ml bottle. Purchased @ Julio’s Liquors.Tons of carbonation in the slightly golden liquid producing thick lasting head that retained until the end. The aroma was of weak bread malt and mild Belgian yeast with notes of candi sugar. Lots of fruity notes. Flavor is also quite fruity and fairly sweet with the addition of effervescent mouthfeel. Carbonation releases the complex Belgian flavors. Since it is a younger bottle (only cellared about 4 months) the ABV is noticeable in the finish. Overall, it’s a nice Triple.

Smells floral with a little booze. Tastes like boozy perfume - a little too heavy on that vibe. Like schwaling a bottle of armani eau de toilettle. Bitterness at the end is too pronounced as well. Pours cloudy blond with fizzy, quicly dying head. Despite the flaws this is actually ok - dont get me wrong. Bottle still waiting in Penn station.
