Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple. At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains - all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy honey gold color. Small brief white head. Yeasty alcohol aroma with hints of banana and lemon peel. At first, some residual sweet fruity maltiness that disappates quickly and becomes more dryish and complex. I pick up notes of vanilla, banana and honey. This is a big, complex ale very much in the vein of the classic Belgian Tripel style. Finish is long and cloying, with cognac-like notes. A tremendous effort from the folks at Weyerbacher.

Hazy gold beer. Soft dry palate with a mild carbonated sting. Sweet aromatic malt - very typically Triple. A little spice and then some aniseed alcohol. Decent Tripel.

On tap at McKracken’s in Marietta. Pours a hazy, light orange with a nice, off-white head with good lacing. The aroma is bread, lemons, coriander, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet. The palate is light to medium, lively, and smooth. Overall, this is a well done beer.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Big fruity estery aroma with yeast and malt. Malt and yeast flavor with spice, banana, and fruit. Medium bodied. Malt and spice lingers with yeast, banana, and frutiiness.

Bottle at the Croydon Beer Tasting. (I think this bottle is between 1-2 years old.) Pours hazy gold with a light, white head. Bit of honey and sweet malt in the nose. Nice, big flavor, heavy bread, some yeast, damn sweet with light herbs. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Warming on the finish, yeast and bread, white sugar. Very nice overall.

Bottle at my East Croydon beer tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours straw yellow, with a thick foamy white head and pretty high carbonation. The nose is pear, sweet apple, melon and floral. The taste is melon, pear, peach, lemon sherbet, hay, Belgian yeast and straw, with a sweet finish. Overall way too sweet for me.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with mild haze and a white head. Very yeasty aroma, cloves, banana, bubble gum, little green apple. Flavor leans more toward bubble gum with some sugary red and green apple, spicy cloves, a bit of tartness. Somewhat simple, and not the greatest of flavors.

Bottle at Black Squirrel. A pretty middle of the road tripel, nothing too exciting.

Pour is a golden with a large white head. Aroma is of banana and candi sugar with a little spice thrown in there. Flavor is very yeasty and fruity with a lingering alcohol. Decent for a tripel and there are lots to look or in this beer
