Ever met a New Belgium Beer Ranger? They are our beloved folks out in the field. Spanning all 29 of our states from the Pacific to the Atlantic, our Beer Rangers do their best to protect, to pour and to partake. And explore many a beer from many a brewery, they do.

Bring out the hops! This clear amber beauty bursts at the starting gate with an abundance of hops: Cascade (citrus), Chinook (floral/citrus), and Simcoe (fruity) lead off the beer, with Cascade added again for an intense dry hop flavor. Brewed with pale and dark caramel malts that harmonize the hop flavor from start to finish, Ranger is a sessionable splendor for all you hopinistas. Thank your Beer Ranger!

Bottle: Poured a golden clear copper with a off white frothy head. Aroma is nice hops. Taste is nice strong gritty hops with a soft malt that gives a nice finish.

I like this a lot. Very tart, sharp piney hop taste. Aroma is more subdued hops. Pours clear golden with short head and sticky lacing. Aftertaste of tangy hops. Cheers!

Big citrus hop nose, but also pine and resin, even almost dank. Flavor resiny with hops, peppery at the finish with a big caramel malt undertone the whole way through. Lingering pleasing bitterness. Perhaps a little too sweet, the finish is especially sweet-bitter. Copper color with a big foaming head and lasting lace.

Can at Big John’s Tavern, Charleston. Straight out of the can so... colour unknown, but I imagine it was amber/golden with a white head. The nose is pine, fresh grass, granny smith apple, lime and dough. The taste is crisp, big on the fresh cut, pine, earth, grapefruit, light toast and spice with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Bitter, tasty and pretty damn drinkable. Tasty stuff.

Can at the Africa Lounge, SEATAC, 27/05/13. Last beer of an epic 10 day, 440 new rates tour of the US, liver stand at ease here on !!! Clear golden with a medium sized white head that retains well. Nose is hops, grass, orange, citrus, light pine, caramel. Taste comprises hops, grapefruit, bitter orange, light tarteness to the fruit flavours, orange pith, caramel, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. A fairly entry level kind of IPA but quaffable none the less.

Light haze on this pale amber beer. Big fluffy white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Nice smooth hops. Light pine, trace of lime and a good dash of orange citrus. Really nicely joined up hop flavours. Light and approachable without ever being wimpy. Daftly drinkable!

At a tasting, thanks ThreeCats, smallish head, clear deep golden colour, aroma of pine, flowers, some citrus and a hint of tropical fruit, flavour of melon, bread and herbs, strong and just a little coarse bitternes. Solid drinking, but expected more.
