Ever met a New Belgium Beer Ranger? They are our beloved folks out in the field. Spanning all 29 of our states from the Pacific to the Atlantic, our Beer Rangers do their best to protect, to pour and to partake. And explore many a beer from many a brewery, they do.

Bring out the hops! This clear amber beauty bursts at the starting gate with an abundance of hops: Cascade (citrus), Chinook (floral/citrus), and Simcoe (fruity) lead off the beer, with Cascade added again for an intense dry hop flavor. Brewed with pale and dark caramel malts that harmonize the hop flavor from start to finish, Ranger is a sessionable splendor for all you hopinistas. Thank your Beer Ranger!

Golden colour. Fresh, citrusy hop in aroma and taste. The balance with the malt is good.

Light amber color, hazy, small head. Both aroma and flavor have a paper character. Quite malty, lean, correctly hoppy, a bit dusty. But that paper thing is not exciting.

Hazy amber color with creamy head. Very nice aroma, hops, fruity. Theouthfeel is rather dry, but reasonably soft; the malt flavor has some nice toffee accent; the bitterness is strong but with no excess; the hops are full of resins and reasonably fruity, bitter oranges, a bit piney.
Very nice and fresh.

2012-10-15, bottle from Total Wine, Henderson, NV, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Amber color, with good sized head. Nice hop profile, a bit sweaty, over toffee. Lean mouthfeel; it has a good toffee flavor, with light cereals touch; good bitterness level, carrying pleasant resins and light fruitiness. Long final.
Fresh.

This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a big, bright white foamy head. Nice lacing. To the nose there are scents of spruce resin and citrus hops. Very hoppy on the nose. First sip was smooth and very hoppy with the flavours of the spruce hops most prodominant. Finish is bitter with the hop bite lingering on the palate for years...

Citrus and pine with a solid sweetness to really hold it up. Full bodied. The sweet malty flavor really comes through after the hops. A bit too sweet for my liking. However, this is a solid IPA.

Tap. Pours pale amber with a small almost white head that dissipates quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is of pine and grapefruit, very pleasing. Taste is citrus, caramel malt, perhaps a bit of butterscotch, and a moderately bitter finish. A crisp, full bodied beer.
