33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours a uninteresting brown with no foam. Aroma is complex with hazelnut, malt walnuts. Body is dense with very limited carbonation. Taste is moderately sour, slightly sweet and bitter. Finish is relatively long and pleasant.

Bottle. Copper bronze pour. Aroma of red fruit, like sherry, booze, oak, some salt and raisin. Taste is quite bizarre, with salt, boozy red fruit, oak, spices, raisin, tequila, soft vanilla and a sherry heavy fruity finish. Truly one of a kind mix of flavors, really special and tasty.

0.33 l bottle from ’Dranken Geers. Clear, dark reddish amber with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, very spicy, malty and boozy aroma of lots of vanilla, coriander, caramel, wood and coconut. Quite sweet, malty, spicy and slightly boozy taste of caramel, lots of coconut and vanilla, honey, wood, licorice root and coriander, followed by a medium long, very spicy, boozy, slightly salty and moderately dry finish. Medium body, a bit astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Crazy beer, not sure what to make of it, definitely very interesting to try but I think it’s just too much.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Pours clear amber colour. Aroma of strong wood, bourbon, tequila, strong red malt, riped fruits. Taste of slightly sour red fruits, salt, spices, tons of wood, vanilla, quite nice!

Many thanks to Koelschtrinker for sharing! Smokey sourish nose. The beer starts fresh and sourish. Wood, smoke, salt, herbs. The sherry is there, hints of Tequila as well. Intense, smoke, dark malt, sticky and rich. Long and herbal woody aftertaste, deep and interesting!

Sprittiger Geruch. 9/10/10/10/9/10

Thank you tderoeck for picking up this bottle. 330 ml. bottle. No head, dark brown compote appearance. Nose is varnish, sour oak, thick sherry, orange peel, plants, faintly salty. Taste is huge oak, prune, oak, dry, leaves, plants, orange peel, faintly salty, prune, soda, sweet & sour, faintly salty, tequila is almost no here, sherry is massive, hugely big sherry, walnut like oxidation & walnut-like finish, dry sherry finish. Basically flat – low carbonation akin to a soft drink that stood open for some time, old prune & massive sherry. Not really getting tequila, very faint salt (not sure if from the salt or a vague tequila note). Lingering walnut sherry finish. Interesting intense, massive sherry brew with big plum & dark fruit notes.

@ LIBF 2016. Hazy colour, low carbonation. Spicy, sour, salty, tequila. Not my favourite blend of tastes. Not very good at all.

Bottle @ LIBF’16. Shared with the RB Belgian team.
