This wheat beer is a refreshing soft light bitter beer. Spiced with coriander and orange peel and brewed with trappistyeast. Based on its higher alcohol content and full taste, it can be categorized under the Double Whites. (Since december 2003).

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is gently spiced, and the flavour is quite dry, bitter, herbal and spiced. Overall a nice but quite harsh tasting Belgian beer.

Purchased as De Graal Triverius, which matches style and ABV of this beer, I am assuming it is the same with a new label (perhaps for US) from Shelton Brothers. 750 ml bottle purchased at Beertopia in Omaha, Nebraska. Best before 06 2009. Pour is hazed gloden yellow with a 2 inch white head. Not much lacing. Aroma of wheat, floral sweetness, citrus hoppiness. Pretty muted nose. Taste is wheat, some earthy wet dirt, residual mineral elements. Palate is grainy, mouth coating and carbonated. Overall, a bit bland.

On tap at Reading BF 08. Hazy pale gold with thin white head. Lovely pineapple aroma. Excellent fruit in mouth. Some Belgian yeast aroma. Rose petal. Alcohol in present in the aroma I thought. Didnβt realise it was a wit I must admit, I had it down more as a pineapple/rose petal tripel.

A pretty anonymous white beer with a slightly sweet edge. Fairly plain but easy to drink.

750 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions. Aromas of citrus, wheat and yeast spice (mild). Hazy light golden color with a frothy/creamy white head. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor of citrus peel, coriander, touch of clove, and banana? Very mild Wit. Very tasty Wit. The finish is the same, but a touch of hop bitter comes forth. Not as harsh as many, more flavorful than many. Itβs a work of art.

Hazy golden with medium head. Yeast aroma with coriander and orange peel notes. Same goes for the flavor with a hoppy end. Good balanced for witbier of this strenght.

Bottle: Poured a murky yellow with a short carbonated white head. Aroma is very wheat with that typical witbier citrus smell. The taste is pretty sweet and not very expected wheat, there is a slight spicy cutrus finish.
