In the early days of Struise, Pannepot had a few different versions. Pannepot (regular) / pannepeut (slightly less rosted malts) , Pannepot Reserva (aged on wine barrels), and pannepot Grand Reserva (aged on wine + calvados barrels) . Other barrel types ( such as Port) were released under the 'Pannepot Special Reserva' brand.

Over time, things have gotten a bit less clear, and now special versions have also been released as Pannepot Reserva, whilst some red wine barrel aged versions have been released under 'Pannepot Special Reserva' .

Sampled at vcbf 2017. Thnx for sharing, Tim and Eugene! Pours black, no real head. Smell is rich, dark grainy, some tannines. Taste is sharp, oak, mild tannines. Weaker body than the other pannepots. Walnuts. Not a big fan, to my own surprise.
