Bottle at Nuetnigenough. Very light blond colour, white bubbly head. Aroma is citrus hop, grainy, lemon and grass. Taste is nice, initial lemon, then grainy, quite dry. Pretty refreshing. Lingering citrus. Really nice and gets better the further down I get. --- Beer merged from original tick of Crushable Saison on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. 11.2oz bottle at Brasserie V. Hazy orange-yellow-tan body. Foamy, steady off-white head. Sometimes you forget how nice a Saison can be. Bold flavor, but really light and easy on the palate. Really well done beer. Funky. Almost has a dry spelt feel. Peppery high temp tones. Great.

11.2 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Quite hazy/cloudy yellow orange with a finger of off-white head. Aromas of lemon and orange citrus, herbs, light funk. Tastes of lemon and orange citrus, light funk, peppery notes, herbs, some bitter wheat and floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice collaboration. Bought this in April 2014 but it seems to have held up very well.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Liquor Max Loveland. Bottle is a bit dated but I thought I’d give it a shot anyhow since it hasn’t otherwise shown up in Northern Colorado. Hazy pale yellow appearance with a big fluffy white head. Initially there was a potent smoky / weed-like aroma going on but as I dug in, there was a lot of big hops, grass / hay / straw, minerals, and citrus fruits. Pretty heavy carbonation. Slightly floral, bright yeasty flavor with light fruit. Maybe a bit of tropical fruit and orange blossom. A bit spritzy on the finish. Fun beer that I’d like to revisit fresh.

Bottle at Max’s courtesy of ajax25g, thank you sir! Hazy pale yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of barns, attics, basements. Taste is dirty, funky, peppery haystacks, or maybe hops stored in your grandmother’s armpits, bitter finish.

Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. The nose holds peach lemon, hay, dry pale malts. Light sweet flavor with prominent pithy lemon, straw, more dry pale malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dey finish with pine needles, dry dough, lemon rind, more lithy citrus. Fine.

Bottle at Casper is back tasting. Hazy light gold lasting white head. Very hoppy saison. Good though.

Bottle thanks to Matteo. It pours hazy pale golden with a thick white head. The nose is doughy, hay, light spice, ginger, straw, brioche and candied peel. The taste is crisp, bitter, spicy, hay, straw, lemon peel, grapefruit, soap and pine needles with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and crushable. Solid.

Pours an orangey yellow. Very cloudy, but much of that is probably sediment - there’s a whole bunch of it, and I think I kicked it up accidentally. Big, puffy white head. Lasts for a long time. Classic saison aroma. Fresh pale malt, hay, lemon, mild sulphur, earth, pepper, grass. Definitely not breaking any new ground, but it’s pleasant enough. No real complaints, besides some boredom. Taste is rather dry with stronger than expected bitterness in the finish. That grassy bitter bite in the aftertaste isn’t too strong, but I guess the dryness kicks it up a notch. Gentle, clean grain flavor. Minerally flavor - that sounds meaningless, but I’m going to roll with it. More pepper, mild lemon. Very refreshing. Just a tad boring, again. Mouthfeel is effervescent and light. Super easy to drink. This would be a good beer for a hot day or the right meal. On its own, it’s a bit lacking in interest. It’s an ephemeral experience. I’m not really sure if that’s a criticism or a compliment because it is a highly quaffable (I need to use that phrase more), refreshing beer, which is a goal of the style and, based on the name, a goal of this beer. Great lunch beer for a hot day.
