Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is yeast, vanilla and a fresh green hop. Flavor is pils malt, a decent hop profile with some white pepper and a dry hay cereal. Finish is a little bitter but very floral. This was a solid saison. Too bad it costs $5 a bottle because this would be something to have around the house during the summer months.

11.2 oz bottle purchased at the Louisville Beer Store in Louisville, Kentucky. BOT 10/10/13 BBD 10/10/14 printed on the bottle cap. The pour is a very hazed yellow golden with a fizzy three inch white head that falls slowly and rockily. The aroma is fresh apricot citrus hops, wheat malt and a soft yeast character. The taste is a mix of the apricot floral hop and mildly pepper phenolic spice yeast, the yeast shows a bit of earth. The finish is grain and mineral. The palate is light to medium bodied, active natural carbonation, and a dry mineral finish. I had been looking for his one for awhile and it didn’t disappoint.

Bottled in October of last year and this is just now hitting shelves in my town? - grrrrr - thankfully, this is still in great shape - turbid straw color - fluffy, well-sustained head - very dry and rustic saison, just how I like them - nose has a mild melon and citrus sweetness, but mostly presents a medley of dry grain, straw, tart lemon rind, mineral, pepper - full but creamy carbonation in the mouth - dry, snappy, crackery malts, notes of white pepper, earthy spelt - moderately bitter, with a splash of spiciness and acidity on the tail end, followed but a gentle, balancing malt sweetness to finish it off - lingering bitterness on the tongue, along with some peppery phenolics and a strong flinty minerality that I am a huge fan of - excellent, but at five bucks a bottle, I don’t think I can be "crushing" very many of these.

Pours pale yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Earthy hay and summer fruit aromas. Sharp with hay and biscuit upfront turning to a lasting grapefruit pith finish.

Looks exactly like Taras Boulba; pale, carbonated and topped by endless amounts of snow white head.
Delicate, perfumey hops in the nose are backed by fully attenuated pils malt. Very strong and sniffable. Wow, at almost 5 months old, this must have been unbelievably hoppy fresh. Extremely clean but expressive yeast gives off nectarine and light apricot-like fruitiness but it’s all absorbed by the supreme happiness. Flowers, lavendar, lemons, lime zest. Very well-done. No alcohol, no flaws.
Soft, malty body yet the sweetness never hits, leaving the hop bitterness and lightly tart yeast phenols to do the work. Just a brush of honey over the canvas....
Incredibly drinkable. Certainly "crushable" if that’s what they mean by that, and indeed, I’m almost finished with the beer less than a minute after pouring it. Like a blend of saisonhands and taras boulba. Delicate, dainty, but very flavorful thanks to such lovely hoppiness. What do get when two brewers that produce some of the most delicate, understated beers in the world collaborate? A beer that goes down very fast and very easy. Superb.

Hazy yellow - gold beer with a good white head. Light crisp palate, airy and semi dry. Light minerals. Light floral yeast. Bitterish grapefruit, yellow grapefruit pith. Finishes softish with more floralness and a medium bitter linger. Decent.

33cl bottle pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2014. Pours a hazy gold with some thin, white head. Nose is off, skunked, heavy grass, heavy lime, mild funk, soap, herbs. Flavor is lemony, spritzy, grassy, chive, mild find, cheese. Crappy finish. Wicked skunk.
