Sample at SBWF 2013. Black with a tan head. Roasted malt, some coffee, dark chocolate and light berries. Balanced and with a long aftertaste.

Tap at the schoolhouse. Black with a pretty white head, turning to lace. Smoky, roasty nose, coffee, chocolate. Very rich flavor, coffee, roasty, creamy, great balance. Very full, rich flavor and body.

At the school house. Aroma is nice clean choc and chalk with some berry. Flavour is soft roast and choc raisin. Nice chalky finish. Very balanced.

Draft @ Het Schooltje, merci Carlo. Brune foncée, col épais crémeux moka. Arôme est légèrement grillé, caramel, note de grains et cette signature sucre brun Struise. Palais est malté, grillé, pointe de torréfié-café, grains en retrait. Profile pouvant rappeler le chocolat au lait avec un biscuité subtil et une once d’amertume presque de chocolat noir. Fini reste assez sec, avec un malt choco-pâle. Amertume venant des houblons reste discrète et arrive en fin de bouche, le tout donnant un citronné subtile qui accompagne à merveille cette bière qu caractère très malté.

draft @ david’s tasting . pours black, white foam . smell is a bit metallic ( wich is normal for the style ) taste is smokesd ( in very small parts ) , typical porter. good, not great.

Dark brown to black beer, creamy irregular beige head, unstable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: mocha, coffee, bit earthy, rotting leafs, some tobacco. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, caramelly start, chocolate, mocha, hops. Aftertaste: roasted, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee, little sourish, sweet caramel. Very soft and gentle porter, love it.
