Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, Switzerland
Cloudy blond color. Light aroma of malt, spices and cabbage. Spicy malt flavor, with higher bitterness that the usual Belgian beer, but also a trace of vegetables. Average.

Bouteille 33cl.

swing top bottle 330ml. -from Brasserie Henry, Budapest as Quintine Bio-Organic
Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, acidic fruity nose. Malty, wheaty and acidic fruity with spicy and mild caramel notes. Touch of orange peel in the finish. Lingering bitterness. Not too good blanche.

Swing-top bottle. Musty/dry lemon peel, coriander, and wheat malt aroma - very nice. Hazy pale yellow color with small head. Lightly sweet and dry lemon peel, coriander and light malt flavor. Medium body. Very good - on the dry side.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, wheaty, slightly sourish nose with notes of yeast, citrus, coriander, bread, wheat-flour dough and hay. Malty, wheaty taste with white bread, citrus, coriander and a fresh, grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Surprisingly much character for a witbier. Nice one.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. A little fruit in the nose. Medium body, some maltiness and a little fruit. Fairly hoppy finish. Perhaps a Wheat Ale but nothing Witbier whatsover about this. 150211

Draught Very good white lace from a medium, white head; veiled, but still bright orange-golden beer. Very lightly spiced nose, citrus-y and coriander-y, but nowhere obtrusive. Very creamy taste & MF, dry, with a little point of bitterness. Nearly no spices flavourwise, except for a strange, exotic (Indian?) spice retronasal. Light to medium bodied, very slick. Nice witbier, rare in this category.
