Draught Fluffy, disparate transparent head over veiled orange beer. Smoked Rauchmalz, phenolic, cured meat. Smoked malts, still quite sweetish, sweet fruit (Nasha pear). Finish is again fully phenolic. Medium bodied at best. Slick, oily, tad viscous. Good attempt at Rauchbier/pils but misses a bit character.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beerfest ’13.

Draft @ CML Italian Beer Festival 2013. Pours orange with white bubbles. Nose smoked malts, chilli, light fruits & green bell pepper. Nose is nice chilli, doesn’t burn the throat away but clearly is there, vegetables, green bell peppers, touch smoke, oranges & tangerines, light burn,… Body is a touch watery,… Odd but in a good way, a helles seems almost incapable of taking this but it all sort of manages to work. Almost over the edge.

Draught at Mi & Ti, Milan
Hazy golden color with creamy head. Mild aroma of good malt (pilsner?) and chili pepper; nice indeed. Good lean body; some malt flavor, mild chili pepper; in the final there is a light smoke touch; the bitterness is moderate, adequate to the beer.
Balanced and well brewed; probably something more is expected from those malts.

(Keg at One Pint Pub, 20130508) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain and mild fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, molasses, herbal hops and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and mildly fruity. A weird helles but not really bad.

Draught @ HBF’13
Aroma is somewhat spicy with chil, some fruits and . Flavour is spicy with some toffee, fruitiness and hints of caramel. Some chili lingers in my mouth after the sips, but no strong burning can be observerd. I would take this as an ale. Interesting stuff.

Pours murky orange with a foamy head. Aroma of biscuity malts, grass and hops. Taste is malty and bready with hints of spices, biscuits, grass and hops. Finish has notes of warming spices, cardboard, grass and bread. Decent helles.
