Hazy pale gooden with no head. Massive citrus and parfumey floral notes. Sweet and sour clash, cobwebby funk. Over medium sour and medium bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared. No gusher. Clear golden with very small white head. Lots of citrus peel, kumquats, tangerine, flowery, dry oak, deep funk. Quite sour, light sweer and oaky tannins. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A bit rough, but interesting and drinkeable, unlike the wasabi version. Fair.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle, 2019 vintage. Aroma is rather fruit forward with quite a bit of kumquat character. Lighter earthy, spicy, phenolic notes with hints of oak. Light wheat and malt notes. Pours a hazy, golden orange with a medium sized, medium thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers in clumps. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic, especially into the finish with a hint of sweetness and a light wheat and malt note. Light bitterness with hints of oak and alcohol. Light earthy, herbal phenolic notes. Fairly strong, assertive, kumquat note. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright lambic but the kumquat note is just too overpowering, especially in the flavor. The kumquat also adds a bit more acidity than I prefer in my lambics and has an almost oily, chemical character to it.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with no head. Aroma is indeed kumquat, honest, nice fruits. Taste is a bit stomach acid, some bitterness, barn. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Solid!

First ever lambic gusher. Pours dark hazy orange. Foam has 0 lifespan. Smell is herbal, twigs, mild orange like fruityness. Taste is likewise. Very acidic, médium acetic. Intense on the herbal, twig side with mild orange like fruityness. Médium carbonation. OK. But not what I expect of a beer priced 2-3 times as much as the best examples within the style.

One of three (again) new OWA lambics, this time with kumquat. Bottle with paper 'flower' as usual, bought from Etre Gourmet. Some loose off-white bubbles at the edge but no real head like a flat lambic; hazy yellow apricot golden robe. Aroma of candied orange peel, orange zest and indeed sour and bitter kumquat, vanilla-scented oak wood, crushed green gooseberries, yellow kiwi, cucumber, marmalade, stale sweat. Crisp, sour, fruity onset, lemony and evidently citric, softly carbonated, smooth wheaty and bready malty 'soil' dried by citric sourness as well as lactic tartness, unripe stonefruit note, with bitter kumquat peel in the end as well as a more vibrant, zesty citrus peel effect and lingering, not overly acidic yet crisp sourness. Interesting one - there are not many citrus lambics around and this is certainly the first one with kumquat, a fruit bringing both zesty elegance and sedate bitterness to the De Troch lambic; not as great as the mandarin or yuzu versions, I suppose, but nonetheless worth seeking out and to me among the better OWA lambics so far.
