Thnx to phille . pours dark brown . Small white head. smell is dark malts , some caramel , some hops . Fresh , some wine notes. Taste is intense. Much wine , giving it a certain dry fruityness. Oaky , some dark malts. Bit to intense on the barrel for my taste . Maybe will turn better with age though . Abv is very well hidden . Nice

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Dark brown, brown foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of dark fruit and chocolate with a vinous nose. Tannines and red fruit. Bitter finish. Good beer.

330 ml. bottle from ALBO shared with friends during dinner. This one went well with the food in my opinion (West African Spinach Peanut Stew with Basmati Rice). Appearance was dark red brown, beige head. Tasted of maraschino cherry, cheap chocolate, plenty of red wine reminiscent of Bush Prestige, rotting wood, moldy wine style, malty, lightly sweet, and lightly vinous sour-like. It had lower carbonation. Body was solid. Not my personally preferred taste as far as Wine BA stuff goes but interesting and good all the same. I definitely liked this one.

Bottle shared by Erwin Van Moll @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy dark red-brown color with a small beige head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly vinous, slightly tannine, lightly alcohol. Medium body and carbonation. Not a beer to order as the first one of the night. Not at all. Save it for the last or last three.

Bottle at the Pozarevac tasting without Matt (Matt, come back!). Pours dark chestnut skin color, macchiato foamy head. Nose: dry prunes, acetic mild notes. Mouth: alcohol, sourness, hard leather, wine fermentation. Very adventurous. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong Belgian dark with light yellowish beige, stable head and dark wine red colour, misty. Rich aroma of sour cream, passion fruit, redcurrant, gingerbread, chocolate, sherry, thyme and peat. Sweetish fruity onset, soft and fluffy mouthfeel, deep caramelly malt backbone, spicy notes, yeasty, tart accent, madera-like alcohol in the finish with herbal, mild hops. Has an ’oud bruin’ kind of profile combining sweetness and tartness. Interesting.
