33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kulminator. BBF 22/10/2004 (2003 Vintage presumably). Dark brown with a tanned / beige head. Nose doesn’t betray the age, pretty sweet, some oxidation but less than I would expect, sugary, syrup, brown fruits, figs, prunes, light liquorish, solid shape. Taste is slightly watery, liquorish, brown sugar, prunes, figs, caramel, syrupy, oxidation is light, fudge, slightly warming. Body is touch watery. Solid, very good shape. Expected very little but this was not bad at all & has held up surprisingly well, not too shabby.

Bottle, 6.5%. BB 2004, 3 years ago. Very malty and slightly roasted aroma. Hazy dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and quite oxidized, probably better fresh. Portish, vinous and oxidized, not exactly my favourite flavours. Thinnish mouthfeel.

Bottled. A murky unclear brown beer with lots of sediment floating around under a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, but in the flavor notes of alcohol and spices mixes in. Nice.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with tiny impurities and a beige head. Sweet aroma of malt, alcohol, fruit and dried fruit - there are some touches of sweet wine here. Very full-bodied with plenty of caramel and fruit and a very warming alcohol. Subdued bitterness. This is almost Quadrupelish yummy indeed. 270707

Test vom 15.3.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,4,4,6,4 - 5,80
