Accessible spicy blonde beer of only 5.5 vol% matured in gin barrels

This beer has matured in eight months ‘Villiers’ gin barrels and 8 months in bottle. Noblesse VSOP is thus a clear beer, and has a very fine, light bitterness of hops and juniper. The beer is refreshing, smooth and has sufficiently long aftertaste. A perfect thirst-quenching beer.

On tap @ Bergen Craft Beer Fest. Pours hazy yellow, with an enormous, creamy head. Aroma is tart, herbal notes, with tropical fruits, citrus and wooden notes. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity notes of apricots and orange peel, as well as herbal and perfumey notes and wooden barrels.

Thuis. Proeft heel erg de Jenever en de alcohol zweem er van, erg fruitig. Ook de dryhop is goed te proeven. Apart!! Backlog from 2015/07/31.

Bottle shared by me. Hazy golden with short lasting white head. Wow, massive juniper and Jenever up front, immediately followed by resinous hops and a rum like sweet booze character. After the really strong initial Notes there’s some sweet malts, vanilla, lemon, dough, flowers and quite some spices. Medium sweet with hoppy and spicy bitterness. Medium bodied with a bit thin feel and quite some carbonation. Massive beer for just 5.5% abv, unique and very nice but definately not for everyday.

Bottle from belgiuminabox. Pourd clear blonde, small white head. Smell is grain, sweet , oak, jenever. Taste is bit bitter, sharp yet a round ending,. Jenever is balanced to the maximum. Totally in touch with the basebeer, perfect carbo. Nice

Another special Noblesse edition matured on ’jenever’ barrels and refermented in the bottle for a very long time before being put onto the market. Thin, creamy, off-white head, deep golden blonde colour. Complex aroma of apple, lemon, apricot, wood, gin, hay, caramel; fruity sweetish taste with light sourness, drying, smooth caramel malts, oaky finish with indeed a hint of jenever, dry and quite complex.
