Super viscous dark hazy brown pour. Thick aroma of hoey, apples, baked apple pie, all envelopped in a light tinge of smoke. The mouthfeel is very thick, the legs on the glass are incredible. The alcohol is there but its well hidden. Super sweet, and a touch tart finish. Incredible stuff, wow!

375 ml bottle sahred by beastiefan2k, by way of his friend Artem. The is pour is clearish darker golden, some light ruby highlights, with no head, and a still appearance. Looks like a glass of liquer, in fact has noticeable legs on the swirl. The aroma is syrup sweetness, a bunch of fresh apple fruit, and a bit of weird plastic. The taste features a nice soft apple sweet flavor, really well integrated and put together. In the finish, there is also a tannic, apple skin and seed flavor which stands a bit apart from the core apple fruit. However, this added element really cuts the sweetness in the finish, and adds to my enjoyment. The palate is medium bodied, coats the mouth with the sweetness. Alcohol is present, though integrated, giving it more of a warming character. I have very limited exposure to this style, though I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing Eugene.

375mL gifted by my friend Artem while on a trip in Montreal but I was too busy to do the cider tour. I may also have a very different batch than the previous raters accounting for rating difference. I really like this ice cider and it is very different from other ice ciders I have tried. First , the color is dark reddish copper, akin to old sherry. I get legs on the glass. Aroma is warming and sweet but very original. Blinded I may not be able to tell its actually a cider. There are many other elements on top of the sweet apple. Its toasty and almost bourbon-esque, slightly aged alcohol aspect to it (oxidation). Just works great, more than apple. Mouthfeel is thicker, viscous on the cheeks, and thick. Coats the throat going down. Flavor is really nice as well. Again sweet apple covered by aged, oxidized alcohol. Contained sweetness with a offsetting earthy character (Joe may be getting the same character and calling it vegetal but for me its a positive). Doesn’t finish as sweet as many other ice ciders. I really liked this, the best ice cider since my first ice cider. Cantillon copita glass.

A golden amber cider with a pleasant aroma of apple sauce, maple and light black pepper. Thick. In mouth, a sweet lightly lactic cider, rich and smooth, with definite black pepper notes, spicy, a lot of alcohol warmth. This is quite a surprise. Bottle bought at mondial 2007.
