Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Somewhat sour aroma, overripe fruits, wort, malts, light fruit and cheese. Quite sweet flavour, overripe fruits, malts and old wood. Finish wood and vanilla.

Thx. to Benzai // 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012 // where are all these NL breweries coming from that I have never even heard of dong American style beers? // brighter hazy orange with a white head // smells of sweet caramel, malts, aged, this does appear to be some kind of vintage going by the ratings but no idea which one. very sweet oak, candy sugar and some dust // beer itself is seriously bitter, caramel malts, woody, tad aged, malty, cobwebs, bitter hop finish with a tad copper + vineous, above all still quite sweet // not much carb.

Bottle sample @ 2nd RBBSG, August 11th 2012. Courtesy of Benzai. BB 23/04/2011.

Sampled at RBBSG. Hazy orange, small white head. Smell and taste malts, slight sweet hints, slightly wood but I think it’s faded a bit. Medium carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy gold beer, short lived white head. Light crispish palate. Nice tripel malt - not too sweet or dry, creamy as well. Slightly soft oak edges. Not really picking up any wine flavours which is a shame as a little wine would have taken this beer to the next level. Decent enough as is though!
