Bottle courtesy of Jan & Charlotte, many thanks! consumed in Frank (camper) in a sloping campsite field close to cliff edge, Nr Looe Cornwall, 24.12.11 Pours gold with a slim white head. There is a good aroma in that typically American IPA way. This is a touch too sweet for me, hoppy with a touch of pine and bitter but not bitter or hoppy enough, I struggle a little with the heavy blanket of sweetness. Once again, big thanks to Jan & Charlotte for this beer. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bomber. Bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. This was supposed to be Washington state IPA #3 last night but I fell asleep, so here we go, a day late. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a medium cream-colored head with great retention; leaves decorative lacework. Aroma is pine, peach, cotton candy. Taste is sweet and bitter but maybe not as bitter as the other two in this comparison. Carbonation is average and the body is medium. Very solid; much better than the Fremont. Similar in quality, yet definitely different than the Iron Horse.

Bottle from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Shared with Muhunthan. Amber pour with a reserved off white head. Piney hop and citrus in the nose and flavour. Quite possibly past its best and somehow lacking a real knockout blow. Decent enough IPA, but I can’t help but thinking we’ve got more than the match of this on offer in Europe these days.

Bottle. Hued bronze beer with a strong head. The aroma is very well hopped and floral, and the flavour is also extremely well hopped with a yeasty bitter finish. Overall a very good IPA.

65 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info on bottle
Very small and disappearing head. Rather refreshing, fruity and a bit sweet aroma with exotic fruits, especially mango and banana. A bit sticky palate. Flavour is fruity with mango and hops. A bit too sweet. Rather typical american IPA, but balanced and good.

The pour produces a hazy dark yellow body that throws up a tall sticky white head that falls quickly, leaving sticky streaks all down the sides of the glass. Aroma resembles a fruit stand full of fresh cold citrus fruits. The flavor is well balanced, a touch on the bitter side. Not overpowering on the hops, but hoppier than a pale ale. Soft finish, easy drinking.

Bottled @ home. Clear golden color, big off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple, slight malty, biscuit, almost sweet, slight straw/hay. Quite bitter taste, biscuity, cookie, bitterness which I would describe as pineapple-like, could be Galena?. Quite sweet malty taste, a bit too much Crystal like malts perhaps for my liking. Dryish. Although the couple of flaws I described for my personal taste, it’s still a very decent brew. The biscuity notes I like a lot, and the bitterness is not astringent or anything. Also for this reasonable low ABV it is very tasteful and full bodied.
