33cl bottle. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is sweet malt, some yeast, light hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a smooth malt, light spice, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Pours clear blonde, ok white head. Smell is a bit sweet. Taste has yeast, and yeast bitterness, over a slightly sweet maltback. Ok mf and carbo.

The blond abbey ale in this series, with loose, off-white, irregular foam, only stable on the edges, golden blond colour with orangey hue, clear. Fruity and soft malty nose with spicy notes, orange peel, pepper, cognac, cheese, green apple, fresh thyme, mango, cloves, coriander. Fresh, crisp onset, malty but not too sweet, fairly sharp carbo, spicy middle (coriander, pepper, ginger?), finish spicy and hoppy, bitterish and dry with some warming alcohol. ClichΓ© and totally mainstream but well balanced.

Slabe. Ja mam spore wymagania co do piw belgijskich, a zwlaszcza klasztornych. Wiec tu bylo bardzo mizernie. Mala piana, metnosci niewiele bylo w butelce, a po dolaniu specjalnie nie zmetnialo. Zlocistego koloru piwo z zapachem banana i moreli. W maku delikatne ale mimo stosunkowo niewielkiego alkoholu jak na belgie alkohol wyczuwalem dosc mocno. Troche mi to przeszkadzalo. Zbyt slodowe a zamalo rownowagi, zabraklo wytrawnosci, chociaz niewielkiej. Wersja Tripel byla sporo lepsza.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. No clear BBF. Small gusher, the least you could ask from a macro owned brewery is for their beers to be flawless technically regardless of the flavour. Hazy citrus golden, vanishing creamy white head. Nose is esters, grains, touch alcohol, chemical, plastic, touch disinfecting liquid & sweet yoghurt. Taste is high carb. sweet white bread, yoghurt, sweet white sugar, sweet grains, slight corn, light grains, touch hay, cheap touch cheap honey. Light, high carb. Typical macro fare, nothing to fault but not much in the way of enjoyment etc.
