Big frothy head. Citrus and hops in both aroma and flavor. Bit tart, but also some maltiness. Excellent beer from a small micro. 8 4 8 4 16 = 4.0 (Proef version probably) Re-rate Steenberghe version: lemon and mandarin curacao in the aroma. Sweet and very fruity, mandarin especially, mixed with a bit of alcohol. Touch of yeast. Somewhat vinous. Could be much better.

Pours clear yellow with a diminishing white head. The aroma contains malts, fruits, some hops, citrus, yeast and spices. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and light sour. Faint bitterness and spiciness in the finish, but definitely alcoholic. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel and a bit too fizzy in carbonation.

Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is weak, bit sweet (malts )Taste is rather bitter, some yeast, very , very sweet malts and notes of Sugar. That typically belgian overcarbonation is here as well, just like expected. OK mouthfeel.

Regional beer from Sint-Pauwels-based beer company De Cock, but made at Van Steenberge. Regular, moussy, yellowish white head, deep peach blond colour with orange hue, misty. Aroma of red apple, orange, coriander, pepper, bayleaf, grass; caramelly and light fruity taste, vague nuttiness, spicy hops in the finish but not really bitter, slick, soft and rather thin mouthfeel. Don’t bother hunting this down if you haven’t tasted it.

Just another Belgian strong blond beer. Very average and just like all the others.

Clear orange to amber beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive. aroma: very floral, bit sweet, spices, bit of almonds, sugary, some orange peel. MF: way to much carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary start, spicy, honey, banana peel, little bitter. Aftertaste: very metallic, spicy, cloves, bit soapy, coriander, overdose, pretty bitter and metallic ending, lots of banana.

Bottle thanks to my uncle Ino. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, fruityness, slightly fruitpeel bitter. Pretty nice blond imo. Medium body and carbonation. Nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home. It pours bright swirling amber with bubbles rising and a creamy, explosive white head that quickly commences to collapse as its big bubbles plop. Smells delightfully with prickling, white pepper esters and thin stretched out yet with lightly soapy citrus overtones coming to the foreground and light fruits. Taste is that of bitter esters and spices dominated by a spicy Belgian yeast string, rather simplistic in overt citrus tones and agreeable BE hops, this brew carries no flaws. Safe perhaps but enjoyable never the less and comes as a bit of a surprise to me. The body is peppery, light but a bit too effervescent with quite a lot of carbonation going on.
