Bottled (as Del Puerto Porter, from Alko web shop). Black colour small brown head. Aroma is toffee, some caramel, toasted and mild roasted malty notes. Flavour is dried fruity, toffee, roasted malts and some mild creamy tones. Not bad, even though a bit on the watery side.

Dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall light brown head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of very sweet caramelised sugars, toffee, molasses and brown sugar notes with little else. Light-bodied; Very funky and sweet molasses and brown sugar flavours show at first with a big nutty and earthy flavour with some light rustic notes and little else but the sugars and soft malt notes. Aftertaste shows molasses, grain, toast, malt, oatmeal and some funk with bread and rustic flavours, but the sweetness persists and is stronger than anything else, by far. Overall, a very mild and super soft, but super sweet beer with little malt and character and much lower complexity than I was expecting. Overall, a decent enough beer as this was at least 'dark' and showing some sweetness, but much lighter than I expected and much sweeter than I was hoping for with a bunch of residual sugars that seem to last for a long time. Nice enough to try as one of my last here in the country. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Jumbo [supermarket] here in central Santiago (Costanera Centre), Chile for CLP1,490 on 09-August-2022, sampled with my wife and three kids here on the streets of Santiago, Chile on 14-August-2022 before leaving for back home in the USA.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web, Del Puerto Porter)
Dark brown colour, small steady beige head. Aroma has sweet licorice and diacetyl. Light-bodied with active crisp carbonation. Quite watery with some licorice, faint sweetness and earthyness. Not much to talk about.

Bright white head and dark brown nearly black body. Smell of soft coffee, roasted barley, vague rotting brownie hints. Flavour is creamy barley and chocolate notes. Finish is not oily but soft and mellow. Not a bad porter, drinkable, smooth.

Thanks to Mathieu87. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2014. Blackish dark brown with mocha bubbles for a head. Smells like cheap East-European chocolate, instant coffee and chocolate chewing gum. Taste is same, old candy East-European chocolate, chocolate chewing gum, grainy. Light and odd body. This is a bit off-putting.

Clear dark brown beer, small aery beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: mocha, some coffee, grains, caramel, cow stable. MF: soft carbon, light body. Taste: some roasted grains, cow fodder, cheap chocolate, hay. Aftertaste: very rural, bit sourish, little bitter, mocha. Meh.

Bottle brought back from Chile, courtesy of Colin. Pours a very dark brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and hint of coffee. Slight smokey finish. Rather dry but not overtly. Went down well.
