7/III/14 - on tap @ De Trollekelder (Gent) - BB: n/a (2014-254)

Clear dark blond tot orange beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, peaches, spicy yeast touch, sweet, bit sugary, hint of banana, for some reason the smell reminds me of an English blond ale. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, peach candy, bit of citrus, then a bit malty, hay, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: pretty fruity, peach candy, sweet, some citrus, bit grassy, luckily there's some hops in it, but overall too sweet. Some counter balance for the Vedett IPA and Duvel Tripel Hop?

Thx! to Belgbeergeek. Sampled draft @ ‘t Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Hazy orange, little white head. Very weak and above all watery with some plastic and floral hop notes, bitterness is low and touch herbal as well. I have no idea what happened here, this is weak & watery and disappointing at best. These guys make “Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel” so they know how to make a lovely hoppy Belgian hybrid whatever beer so what happened here?

Draft @ Antwaerps Bierhuyske Pours fuzzy blonde , Foam is very small .and white and fades fast . Smell is grainy, reminds a lot to houblon . Low carbo , bitter taste . It tastes like a lighter version of Houblon , tiny bit more aroma , but not too much . Taste is moslty bitter, combined with the grainy maltyness of Houblon . Tasty stuff !
