75cl bottle @ ZZT IV. Clear orange-brown color, small off-white head. Smell malts, some fruits so probably guave. Taste malts, fruity, slightly fruitpeel-bitter. High carbo, medium body.

Bottle@Brew Dog, Manchester, shared with Mes&Sim & Nick. Hazy orange pour with an off white head. Nose had notes of yeast, spice and fruits. A little tartness in the flavour coupled with more yeast, funk and tropical fruits. Crisp, dryish, fruity finish. An interesting and tasty brew.

Bottle. Hazy golden, orange body. Frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of guava, juicy fruits - mango, orange - and a hint of toasted grain and wood. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture with a velvety finish, lively carbonation. Rich fruitiness in the beginning with tartness, bitterness and pepper in the finish. There are lots of levels of complexity in the flavors. The alcohol, though detectable, takes a back seat to that. Way too sweet for a saison, but an interesting beer outside the style. And an enjoyable one.

75 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Clear amber/orange color. Huge, off white head with long retention & good lacing. Aroma’s of tropical (sweet & sour) fruit/guave, sweet spices (aniseed). Flavor is light sweet, sweet spices. Medium bodied, rather soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry, but not bitter. Actually nicer than I expected, rather refreshing.

Cloudy orange beer. Light nose of sourish malt and mild guava. Mildly sour with the guava providing some counterpoint sweetness.Light frothy finish that is also dry. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Quite drinkable.

750ml bottle in a trade. Thanks. Pours a lightly cloudy, very dark orange with about a finger of off-white head. Aroma is very fruity, almost acidic. Possibly a little vinegar in there, but in a good way. Taste is lightly sour. Citrus fruit and fruity yeast. Light bodied with a thin texture. Very fizzy carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, it’s very good. If you get one of these, make sure to split it with a friend though. I think 750ml may be a bit much for me.

Very last dregs of a 22 oz. bottle, my final note from DLD 2011, at last. Very cloudy, light brown ale, very thin foam. Yes, I’ve got all the bottle’s dregs, but that can be the good part. The smell is of a nicely fruity ale. I can’t find anything wrong with it. A kind of a Brett character, very fruity, sour, and of course yeasty taste.
