Bomber. Nose of chocolate, coffee, hops. Sweet chocolate flavor, creamy, café au lait. Light, clean body, very bitter finish with lots of hops, licorice, citrus. Nice flavor, huge hops. Bitter as hell.

Courtesy of to tderoeck. Thx! 650 ml. bottle sampled during Zwanze Day shenanigans. Pours black with a tanned head. Sweet nose, ripe with blueberries, blackberries & bramble berries sinking in sweet malts, chocolate, coffee, oatmeal. Taste is sweet, previously mentioned berries, thick liquorish but not in a bad way, chocolate, faintly roasted malts & oatmeal, some bitter herbs & liquorish in the back. Creamy body. Pretty nice stuff here.

14/IX/13 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ Hoppy Loft (Delirium café, Brussels) - BB: n/a (2013-859) Thanks to Guang for the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige irregular head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity touch, chloride, citrus, smoky, charcoal, bit dusty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, chocolate, charcoal, weird spiciness, coffee, hops. Aftertaste: cocoa powder, some dried fruits, mocha, bit of caramel, coffee. This is a "sweet" stout? Ok, then... weirdos.

Pours mahogany-tinged black into an English pint. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving spotted sheets. Dark chocolate and resin aromas. Thin with sweet milk chocolate and sour espresso and licorice front to back. Lasting bitter resin finish..

22 oz. bottle now released to celebrate our 25th Birthday. I checked the Grittymcduff.com and this is the same brew named Strong Oatmeal Stout, same recipe. The nose is deep roasted barley, chocolate and ash. The flavor starts as it should, dry roasted malt with light notes of coffee and dark chocolate that leads to a light to moderate amounts of gentle bitterness which lingers just a tad. The deep roasted barley I really enjoy as a secondary flavor. Texture is on the dry side. Overall a nicely made oatmeal stout that is not overly sweet. Really easy for me to drink the bomber.
