33cl Bottle @ home. Gusher! Dark brown, cola-like color with a huge off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell cardboard, cellar and smoke. Taste smoke and bitter. Low to medium carbonation, a bit weak texture, low to medium body.

Bottle at home in London, on a hot, steamy June night. Pours a light, cola brown with an enthusiastic, foamy, off-white head. Aroma holds some dark malts, faint cocoa and light roast. Very nice flavor, light to medium sweet, understated roasty, smokey malts, slight cake and toast, hints of brownies and a little burnt sugar. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with modest roasted malt character, a slight mineral note, faint, earthy bitterness. The alcohol is well blended in with the overall essence. A very OK beer, but it doesn’t get my juices flowing.

clear brown, huge smooth beige head. distinch smoked aroma. meat, honey like flowery notes (probably hops). also something that resembles caramel or blue berries. flavor is smoked, charchoal, roasted grains, dark chocolate, licorice, faint but well composed hop balance that yields mainly discrete bitterness. strong flavor. complex. smokey, ends roasted and smoked. very nice. Brew this one 3% stronger and throw it in a peat whiskey barrel. A very nice porter brewed on bavarian smoked malts.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to almost black with a slowly disappearing and initially tan to brown head. Aroma is breadish malty, don’t pick up to much smoke initially. Roasted malty, slight acidic and rather yeasty - estery and phenolic. Mild acidic, bitter and somewhat smoked from back of the nose. Ends dry and lingering smoked.
