Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Light aroma with floral hops. Sweetish flavor, a bit roasty, with a bitter finish with some floral hops. Medium-bodied. Quite pleasant, but a bit too light in aroma and flavor.

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como
Black color, with compact head. The aroma is very nice, spicy fresh and fruity, not black at all, and this is positive. The mouthfeel is very dry, with some roasted malt flavor, ashes, yeast; strong bitterness, maybe some fruitiness from the hops too. Ashy final.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes roasted malt, chocolate, fruits, and yeast, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thank yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque dark murky brown with a tint of orange and a small creamy beige head. Spicy, perfumy nose. Light body, heavy carbonation, a little yeast, again spices and a little roast. Malt bitter finish. An interesting and different take on a Saison. 130612

Draught Light tan, dense head over virtually black beer. Dry hopbales, UK & USA hops; difficult to discern aroma of pastry/cake/... Sweetish, but dry hops, dark malts. Unfortunately, that’s it, and it finishes a bit lame. Light to medium bodied, quite slick. Nice, even very good nose, but the MF isn’t Belgian enough.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beer Festival ’12.
