Bottle at Bedford Beer Festival. Pours mint green(!) with very little head. Aroma of mint, charcoal, herb. A hint of what the unadulterated beer would be, but not much. Taste is lovely: sweetish sour and herby, but more like a radler than a proper ale. Shame that, but it’s still a decent drink. In its own way.

Berlin hotel bar. Pours bright green with green tinged head. Aroma seems a little absinthe. Med minus body. Kind of too sweet. Seems wormwoody - if old memories serve. Odd. But it’s growing on me.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours lurid green, washing-up liquid-like. Think neon. Aromas are coconut, strangely, light sweet. Taste is like soor applz. Really sweet though. A strange brew.

Little cloudy bright green "beer", big creramy off-white to yellowish head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of vanilla, cooked fruits, some cinnamon, sweet and sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium body, bit cloying. Taste: very sweet, sugary, spicy, some vanilla, bubble gum, bit lemony. Aftertaste: some weird stuff, meh.

Trübes grünliches Getränk mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch künstlich süß, säuerlich. Geschmack nach Waldmeister, künstlich süß, leicht säuerlich.

Hazy green beer with a big pale green head!!!! Okay then!! Nose of minty herbal lime. Palate is light and slightly crisp. A very light sourness kicks things off, little seltzer as well. Then intense limey minty herbal something! Both sweet and sour! Well that was an experience, very unusual beer. Beer is supposed to be fun isn’t it? Well this one made me smile!

330ml bottle. Murky green colour with average, frothy, diminishing, white head. Intense artificial woodruff aroma that doesn’t really meet the real thing, it’s more like perfumed marzipan. Taste is sweet and sour, hints of artificial sweetener, citric acid, sherbet, closer to woodruff, no hints of beer except for the tartness (I hope so). Reminds of ’Ahoi Brause’, an extra point for this reminiscence of childhood - nevertheless horrible on the whole.

Dieses Getränk ist etwas ganz eingenes, manche mögen besonderes sagen. Es ist nicht sauer wie die klassische Berliner Weisse, bitter wie einfaches Bier und auch nicht zu süß wie die meisten Radler. Es hat einen Geschmack nach Ahoi-Brause aufgelöst in saurem Bier. Das ist so abartig, dass es schon wieder gut ist. Ich werde sicher nicht der große Fan von dem Zeug, aber probieren sollte man es doch mal -und sei es, dass man es kennenlernt.

neon/emerald green colour, greenish head; aroma and taste of sourness of berliner weisse and syrup with some herbal liqueur; scored as 3.0 mainly because of its unique colour :-)
