Blessed be! Our ridiculously big, hoppy I.P.A. returns to the rapturous exaltations of worshippers far and near.
Featuring Simcoe, Amarillo, and Columbus hops at an unheard of rate of over three pounds per barrel, with American pale and Belgian caramel malts providing a malty but dry pedestal upon which this hop fest rides until its long, lingering,hop-bittered finish. Beware this vengeful, Old-Testament God. Say your prayers…

Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Harsh bruned malts, though only obtained through the reddish malts. Grainy, bit metallic. Bit alcoholic finish. Quite unbalanced, too much of the special B I guess.

Medium, dense yellow head over red, well-carbonated beer. Bit nutty, very aromatic hops, citrus and lots of exotic fruit, bit of resin. Resin, sweet exotic fruit, quite balanced tastewise. Touch vinous, bit of caramel, going towards toffee. Very thick, viscous beer; well-carbonated; long-lasting main flavour. Excellent! Superbly balanced, worthy of a top Barley wine, if sweeter.

Bottle, 22oz. A big, off-white to light beige head forms over a slightly unclear dark amber body. Lots of piney, citrusy aromas escaping the bottle immediately after opening the bottle, and even more when poured into the glass. There’s a malty sweetness too, some notes of caramel, and a dash of dishwashing soap. The flavor has a nice bitterness, balancing the sweetness in a way. Pine cones, resins and some citrus peel too. Full body, soft carbonation. Lasting finish. A nice, well-tasting beer I could have more of. 130202

1/II/13 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ home (2013-109) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear red brown beer, irregular yellowish head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, sweet, caramel, strawberry jam. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, jam, sugary, honey, pretty bitter, some citrus, sweet malts, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: caramel, sweet touch, fruity, sugary, nice bitter hops, jam. Very decent beer, however I would've classified it as a barley wine. (Did not know the style until I entered my rating.)

Bottle from Ølbutikken, bought in November 2012. Batch 01, bottled 06/2012. Reddish amber with a creamy, white head. Not extremely hoppy neither in the aroma or taste. Malt, fruit, resin and some grass. On the sweet side. Very bitter.
