Bottle: Poured a clear copper color with a creamy off white head. The aroma is a light fruit. The taste is smooth grain, malt, and light hop. Very impressive for a low ABV, do the monks know what they are doing or what?

33 cL bottle at DHVL. Pours clear and golden orange with a dense white and creamy head. Aroma is soft malty and with a very minor brett note. Flavour starts light sweet malty with a vague brett citric note. Dry wooden brett note on the back of the tongue into the finish. Smooth and easy. Light peppery finish.

Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke. Good grassy hop aroma, reminding me of the bigger Orval. Clear dark amber colour. Nice big stable creamy off-white head. The flavour is mildly hoppy. Has the familiar Orval hop flavour, only less powerful. Creamy texture, nice mild carbonation. Not an outstanding beer in my opinion, but good, refreshing and well-balanced, and very good considering the ABV.

33cl bottle. Belgium beer number five hundred , 500. Bottle at the best beer bar in Belgium. 2008 edition. Pours golden copper with a creamy bubbly orval looking head. Vague fruity orange & hoppy notes. Actually like a lighter version of orval with less body & brett. Smooth & soft. Pretty damm lovely and drinkable.

Bottle @ Auberge de l’Ange Gardien, rated according to tasting notes from last year. Clear amber/orange colour, white head. Aroma of bread, yeast, some malts and some floral notes. Flavour is like it’s big brother, but with less body, a bit watery, and a bit more pronounced bitterness.

Bottle 33cl.Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lancing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. After so long time looking for this beer i manage to get it and it was a bit of disappointment, because it was just a very watery - thinner version off big brother the normal orval not thing else ! Würziger, aber leichter Geruch. Im Antrunk ist ein würziger Ansatz zu erkennen, der aber leider nicht fortgeführt wird. Man schmeckt die Trappistenzugehörigkeit, leider zu wenig. Leicht herber Abgang. Test vom 30.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,11,10,-,10 - 9,21
