At Uncle Babe's Burger Bar, Ghent. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear golden with a lasting, foamy, white head. The aroma contains malt, grain, hops, some honey. It tastes light malty sweet and light to medium grainy bitter; shortish, dry, hoppy, grainy finish. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Just okay; better than the well-known industrial Lagers.

Labeled as Strubbe greatest Pils. pretty sure this is an alias. Pours clear blonde, unconsistant white head. Smell is sweet, maltsyrup. Taste is rather bitter, grainy, metallic though. Ok body and carbo. Ends a bit dry from the sugaryness.

Tasted from tap as Strubbe Super Pils years ago. A simple but honest, light malty sweet ’pilsje’ with soft carbonation, mellow mouthfeel and light grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Very straightforward of course, but decent for the style and certainly thirst-quenching, without the annoying quality shortcuts ’macro lagers’ often show.
