Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and wood. The flavor is very sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, dessert wine, and caramel, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a slight haze and a creamy and lacing beige head. Fruity nose, a slightly tart woody edge. Solid body, carbonation is low, very sweet fruity and caramellish, sweet liqueur - some oranges - and a warming alcoholic finish. 130711

/12/9/11/13/12

Bottle at the first German local RateBeer tasting at Wasaba in Idar-Oberstein. Courtesy of steptin in absentia - thanks! Cloudy brown, variable head. Aroma of port wine and cherries. Taste is sweet port with brandied cherries. Cannot taste the alcohol as much as you would think. Decent.

Bottle at ACBK 2011. Red/caramel colour. Monzbazillac comes through on aroma. Deeply satisfying in mouth. Strawberry shortbread. No heat. God that’s lovely. Some fruit. Beautiful toffee. Touch of glue. God that is so good. Knocked me sideways. Bought 2 bottles from the shop.

Bottle @ Delta beer festival Reddish colour, dark sherry, little head. Impressive taste, aroma of orange, peach, apricot, caramel and some malts. Raisin sweetness of the wine. Vanilla. It’s high alcohol content is rather well hidden. Lasting, smooth, sweet finish. Again the raisins. Beautiful beer.

Bottle shared at ACBS courtesy of Glen - Cheers! Hazy amber beer, no real head. Lovely orange wine nose. Light dry palate. Orangey dessert wine with a trace of bubblegum. Just very slightly tart. Dry finish. Interesting and different and my favourite Alvinne beer!
26th January 2013
Sweetish creamy malt. Sweet wine - floral. Generic fruits and a trace of sugary bubblegum. Just a little alcohol spice in the finish.
