Sunny, blonde color and aromatic fruitiness.
A perfect harmony between the barley and wheat provides the typical cloudy and the specific and fruity aroma. At the end of the cooking process in the brewing room, the spice mixture of, among others, coriander and citrus fruits is added.
Not brewed with unmalted wheat like all other white beers, but with 40% unmalted barley and with a secondary fermentation in the bottle. That is precisely why the label mentions 'Gerstewijn'. The secondary fermentation takes ten days in a heated room with a constant temperature of 22 ° C.

Cloudy yellow. Pretty perfumed and spicy. Medium to light body. Strange I think I have started to dislike witbier - used to love them....

Hazy blond color. A gentle Ale, not bad but too simple, without enough hops. Refreshing.

Bottle, Paters Vaeje, Antwerp, Belgium, 05-10-06. Quite a hazy, pale yellow coloured beer with good white head. Wheat and yeast come across in the aroma, wheatiness also presents itself in the flavour stakes along with crisp refreshing lemony taste, nothing out of the ordinary but absolutely fine beer, probably would have appreciated it more sat outside on a nice pleasant summers evening.

Bottle at Paters Vaetje, Antwerp. Pale gold colour with thick white head. Citrusy aroma, very much like a wit, aroma of a wit too. Good cereal, nice in mouth. Very pleasant, but bit odd in places. Would be good on a hot day. Some stickiness on finish

Hazy pale yellow (Hoegaarden-like) color, good off-white head. Weak fruity, wheat nose. Light-bodied. Caramelly. Malty metallic notes. Overall quite sweet. After warming some coriander notes.

(Bottle 25 cl) Very pale with a small, white head. But surprisingly full-bodied with lots of flavours. Very strong bitternes with an unusual sweet palate. Not like anything I’ve tried before. 150294
