Ambar oscura, entre hefe y dunkel. Espuma típica. Aroma plátano. Buena textura, cremosa y agradable. Rico sabor, donde mantiene el plátano, junto con rica malta, equilibrando bien dulce, y toque espaciado y amargo. Al calentarse se refuerza también un tono más agrio, ligero. En cualquier caso, buena jefe.

Murky orange - amber beer, good white head. Palate is light and dry with good minerally carbonation. Tangy wheaty malts. Dry and slightly bitter florlaness. Sweetish banana streak. Light dry seltzer finish. Not bad.

Half litre bottle into weizen glass. Sweet wheat nose. Looks like caramel sauce with an enormous creamy head. Zingy on the tongue, flavour is bananas and cream. Finish is cloves, pepper and a distant bitterness. Superb.

Deilig.

Bottle @ home, thanks to bardwashrind. Pours a murky dull orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Fairly spicy (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom), doughy bread, caramel, banana aroma. Medium light body. Pretty high carbonation. Flavor is pretty refreshing with a fair amount of fruit. Some caramel, biscuit, and grass as well. Not bad but not nearly as good as Weihenstephaner Dunkelweizen.

Hacker-Pschorr Sternweisse - Dunkelweizen (DE) - 5.5% - 3.7/5

Weizen glass on tap at Der Pschorr, Munchen. Dark orange color, cloudy, big persistent white head. Classic weizen aroma on the nose, as the classic one with a carammellish hue. Very good. 7 4 7 4 15 = 3.7

Nice dark orange-brownish color with tall foam. The aroma is a bit light, nothing very prominent in there. A bit of wheats and toffee, banana, a bit of freshness. The aroma is a little bit too light for my taste, but maybe it’s due to my nose being too busy with the environment (there?s quite a few people in here). The taste has bananas, toffee, caramel, yeasts - classic Dunkelweizen notes. Smooth carbonation. A decent, proper Dunkelweizen which gets better and better with every sip. I?d just call it "lecker". But I also have a predisposition for Dunkelweizen, which is one of my favourite styles.

500 ml bottle into weizen glass, best before 10/2014. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big banana, orange, pear, apple, clove, bubblegum, herbal, grass, wheat, toasted bread, light caramel, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of banana, orange, pear, apple, clove, bubblegum, wheat, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Slight wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of banana, orange, pear, apple, clove, bubblegum, wheat, toast, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast, bready malt, and light hop flavors; with a great yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hefeweizen style. All around nice complexity and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast, bready malt, and light hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
