Brown with a thin, beige head. Burnt rubber aroma. Toffee. Campfire. More rubber. Not much whiskey. Taste is mildly sweet, finishes fruity with a hint of apricot. Full bodied, mild carbonation. Underwhelming.

Can. Light haze on this amber beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and fairly dry, a little thin feeling overall. Decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, some sweetish creamy caramel. It's somewhat subsumed by a peaty whiskey onslaught. It's not the bitter fucking bandaid bollox of the boldest pray jobs, but on its way. Yeah, I know some people love it, more power to their weird elbows. I like a touch of peat as part of an overall bigger flavour profile. Too dominant for me to get into here.

Head gone in seconds; reddish brown beer. Peat², tarred poles, phenolic galore. Peat again in force, Islay malt, but with a marked sweet impression. Almost jam-like. The phenols keep reigning, but the combination has succeeded. Well-bodied, slick to oily, medium carbonation. Punch-in-the-face, nowhere subtle, but pleasing all the same.

Copper colour, steady small beige head. Aroma of leather, peat, booze - whiskey. A bit rough. Light-bodied. Thin, berryish with alcohol and peat. Smokey but not very complex.

Can. Amber pour. Aroma of strong heavy peated smoke, raisin, caramelised malt, figs, dates and a lot of scotch. Taste has rich smokey scotch, savory peat, raisin, caramelised malt, figs, raisin, dates, orange and some bitter hops for balance. I love it, tons of heavy islay flavors on a firm barley wine.
