Can ordered directly from the brewery, drunk at home. Ruddy brown, almost clear with an extremely thin film of off-white head. Oak, caramel, sour mash in the aroma. Sweet taste with a delicious woody, yeasty funk nearer the finish. Medium carbonation. Surprisingly nice. A delightful bitter.

440ml can. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is biscuit malt, nutty, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malty, dry woody, light floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A great example of the style.

Can from The Made Inn Ashford and drunk at home. Clear russet colour lasting beige head. Oh a brown bitter with twiggy hops. Love it. Malty nutty slight sweetness. Love a brown bitter. Good.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 7th February 2020. Deep hazy copper with shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Caramel malt aroma with lightly pungent cheesy yeasts. Malty liquid flow with hints of raspberry and a suggestion of plum. Finish dominated by caramel malt. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
