Aroma: Big caramel, toffee. Almost barley wine aroma. Pretty strong. Appearance: Hazy with particles, head is thick and dense, sticking to glass. Taste: Again caramel is very strong but hops are showing up at the end of the process. very syrupy texture, like a barley wine. Hops are herbal and resinous. Flavors are good but limited to caramel, alcohol and hops. Mouth feel is round, velvety and syrupy.

Süßlicher Antrunk mit der Mischung von hellem und dunklem Malz. Geringe, angenehm getimte Rauchakzente, klebrig, süß, harmonisch. Voller gelungener Abgang. 9/11/11/11//11

Draught @ Moeder Lambic during the Stone vs Moeder Lambic event. Brown colour with a small white head. Smells wood, bourbon and sugar. Tastes peppers (hot and spicy), sweet and wood. Good carbo, medium body, but i do not like the burning mouthfeel.

Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas during the three day Stone Event, 16-18 september 2011. Medium brown / amber color, small white head. Smell only slightly peppery, some hops and sweet or sugar. Decent taste at first, but too much pepper after a couple of seconds. Medium carbonation and body.

Sweet, caramel, malty, yeast, alcohol scent, some spices, also chocolate. Big, smooth, sweet, caramel taste, some chili warmth. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Chili aftertaste that lingers.

Draft @ Stone vs. Moeder event, Moder Lambic, Brussels. Gouté juste après la Crime. Couleur acajou, col beige.

draft@Stone vs. Moeder: dark amber-red with a small head, smells like spicy hop, slight yeast & spices, taste is hot chilli’s mixed bitter grapefruit hops, bitter hop first with a very hot aftertaste, light yeast with a light but clearly present caramel malt backbone, some pepper & spices first as well, the Chipotle hasn’t burned away all of the underlying beer’s taste yet, not as mouth-numbingly spicy as Crime - too bad :)

Draught Good, cream-coloured head, over ruby-red, faintly hazed beer. Aromatic, but also soapy nose, sweet, with USA hops and rosewater smell. Quite bitter, wry taste, then the peppers kick in, making it burning, and indifferent. Burning, fiery MF, getting it gradually unpalatable. Yes, I do not like red chilies in my beer.
