Bottle from a trade with jmikolich. Pours clear copper color with off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, caramel and some other spices. Flavors of lots of spices with cinnamon being dominant. Tastes similar to many pumpkin beers with the spices. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Jim.

Draft at Dexters. Filtered autumn orange. Steady thin creamy head. Cinnamon, spicy amber malt, quite balanced and nice. Easy to drink but approaches US spice bomb. Could probably sneak in a a Pumpkin Ale in a blind tasting. Still quite clean, solid execution, no off flavors.

Bottle on 12/11/2010 courtesy of BrewEngineer. Clear copper body with a small off-white head. Spicy aroma, nutmeg, allspice, light cinnamon. Spicy flavor with nutmeg and mace on a caramel background. Medium body with moderately low carbonation.

12oz Bottle Thanks to JSQUIRE for tossing this in as an extra. Pours out amber/brown topped with a sandy head. Aroma was of sugar and spice and everything nice. Lots of sweetness of honey and nutmeg. Taste was much as the aroma a good balance of sweetness and spice. Nutmeg, cinnamon, and maybe a little ginger.

Bottle. Decent xmas ale, but it’s kinda generic and the spice mix isn’t exactly inspiring. It’s dominated by a ginger cookie flavor with some cinnamon backing it up. The beer is fairly sweet with caramel maltiness and honey. It’s an alright beer but fails to differentiate itself and is just a bit too sticky and gingery for me. Flavors are kinda over the top.

Also made with honey. Aromatic ginger and then slighty bitter ginger. Honey in the background. Lingering aftertaste of all these elements. Not a subtle beer!

Bottle at Birch&Barley. Lots of nutmeg and cinnamon up front, then a nutty and malty middle. Not bad.

Clear amber with a finger-deep head. Medium spice backed up by smooth caramel malts in the aroma. Flavor is much of the same with the ginger and other spice really melting together to make a tasty brew. One of my favorite Christmas ales that I could easily go through a sixer of.

At the wife’s family holiday gathering when an uncle brings in some great lakes christmas which was very surprising thing to happen. Smells of christmas goodness and pours amber with nice head. Taste is of nutmeg, cinnamom, honey, and ginger but isn’t heavy handed with it and is a pleasant holiday sipper.

Copper color. I am surprised this is rated so highly in the style. It is good. Very little aroma at all, some coriander, spices, and alcohol. No alcohol in the flavor, but there is quite a bit of nutmeg. Dry finish. It is a good beer, but not top-of-the-style good.
